Hope and Purpose:

I hope that this blog...

will serve as a posting board for my unfinished thoughts to be cast off into the ethereality of the memeosphere.

will challenge common wisdom about just how cliché one person can be.

will generate some ideas that will be found by those intelligent enough to understand them.

will generate some ideas that will be found by those more intelligent than me, who will be kind enough to return them finished.

has enough information content to live, but not enough to develop consciousness.

will get me dinner with philosophers or Nobel laureates I haven't dined with, or other interesting people.

will at least serve my students with a diffuse and ill-defined lexicon of half-finished metaphors.
